Paul McCartney and Mal Evans back from the US on 12th April 1967. Paul had spent a week in San Francisco, Denver and Los Angeles to celebrate Jane Asher’s 21st birthday. On the plane home, Paul had been working on his initial ideas for what would become Magical Mystery Tour.

Thursday 30 March 1967. Cover shoot for Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The shoot took place at Michael Cooper’s London photographic studio, 4 Chelsea Manor Studios, 1-11 Flood Street.
On August 21, 1966 The Beatles performed at the Busch Stadium in St Louis, Missouri under heavy rain.
Mark Richman, then working at a local photo shop, took these (and others) rarely-seen images of the Fab Four on stage during the concert.
