Geoff Emerick, the Beatles chief recording engineer, has died. He was 72 and believed to have suffered a heart attack. Emerick, born Dec. 5, 1945, began working with the Beatles in September 1962 at age 16 .
The Beatles‘ 1968 self-titled double album, universally known as the ‘White Album’ will be reissued for its 50th anniversary in November, 9 in four physical editions, including a seven-disc super deluxe edition.
